Social Distortions

In the "social media" focused world, people have become obsessed with image. Social media influencers curate a life online that may not reflect their actual life. "Social Distortions" explores the idea of the curated feed. Using appropriated photographs from commercial photographers, I create a photo transfer onto wallpaper. The photo transfers are not always perfect - which represents a person's flaws. Each image is then re-imagined with collaged features and surroundings creating a new persona.
